Adventures of a Vagabond

Me - Jack and Drifter - Moab Utah- Seven Mile Wash

I'm so far behind on my blogging there is no hope of catching up. A real blogger could do it in three paragraphs. I'm kind of wordy when it comes to writing. I doubt I could do it in 30 paragraphs. With that said – I will attempt to come up to speed in true blogger fashion.

Paragraph number one: I left Arizona too damn early. Been freezing my butt off since I crossed the border into Utah. How do these northerners do it? Don't they know there is a life of sunshine and warmth a few hours south?

The Moab Girls

Paragraph number two: I took my sweet time heading north via the long, scenic route through Moab Utah and camped with a couple of old friends and new. We trail rode – got our asses chewed for riding off trail and raced down the seven mile wash like teenagers. Jessie got me hooked on London Fog floofloo drinks you can find at any self respecting hippy hut for 6 bucks and change. If you catch me eating Tofu and wearing Birkenstock's, just shoot me.

Paragraph number three: Hank, the horses and I, left Moab for Oregon via Idaho. We stopped at several friends along the way and pretended to work for room and board. Mostly we ate their food and grazed down their pastures – but whatever. I made it to Halfway two weeks later where I've been upside down with my head in a post hole and/or adding to the ever growing mountain of rocks that is my life here in Halfway. Oh...and working up my arena that I have yet to ride in because it's been raining, snowing or both practically every day.

There you have it. My life the last month and a half in true blogger fashion. As I read over this paraphrased version... I realize it's just not me. There are so many holes that need filling in...I am an expert at digging and filling in holes! Silly randomness that nobody cares about but me I suppose – but holes none the less. I will post this shortened version in hopes that it will keep my 18 subscribers happy while I pound out the long, wordy version. What else have I to do? After all, a girl needs a break now and then from digging holes, filling in those holes, picking rocks and freezing her butt off.
