Notes: We went a different direction today looking for roads that weren't impassable from the latest round of rains. We headed out S. Eagle eye and cut off east on a gravel/sand road that I "think" goes to Tonopah. I drove down it until it got too muddy before turning around and parking on a spot that I could get pointed back the direction I wanted to go without getting stuck. It wasn't the nicest spot to park. It is used as a dumping area for dead cattle and horses. It's also used as a dumping ground for trash in general. That happens a lot out in the desert. We did manage to find a couple of treasures. I found a glass flask and Celia found a really cool old insulator that come off the old wooden power-lines. Research shoes this particular insulator was manufactured from the 1920's to 1940's and in use up to the 1970's. Once we got out of the dumping area, it was a pretty nice place to ride.
