Trail Log: 2-6-2021

  • Trail: Congress - State land behind Zueger's to Nichols West
  • Miles: 5
  • Riders: Self - Cindy - Teri - Jamie - Mark
  • Horses: Jack - Jimmy - Jewels - Beans - Bronzy

Notes: It's Cindy's actual birthday of her birthday month. When you get to be our age, you are entitled to celebrate for the whole month. Hauled to Congress and unloaded at Zueger's for a short trail ride on state land before riding in to Congress. We tied up at Nichols West and ordered margaritas and appetizers. They were some of the stoutest drinks yet. I guess the bar tender realized we were on horseback and didn't have to worry about getting a DUI. Horses are fantastic designated riders.

A couple of the horses weren't too sure about crossing the double RR tracks at first. I think the loose rock bothered them more then the tracks themselves. Either that or they could feel the vibration of the train from a long ways off. Jack didn't mind much either way. He got me safely home as always.

We got Cindy back in time to celebrate the second half of her birthday with a semi-surprise birthday party at The Palomino in Wickenburg. Fun day with great friends.

A margarita broke horse is a good thing
